Questions, Answered

Everything people usually want to know before reaching out. If your question is not here, the free consultation is the perfect place to ask it.

Do you offer online therapy in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Yes. Communication Lab is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and all sessions are online. That means we work with clients in Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Arlington, Plano, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and everywhere else in Texas. If you live in Texas, we can work together.

What makes Communication Lab different from other therapy practices?

Most therapy is talk-first. Ours is skills-first. We believe strong relationships are built on skills, not luck, so every session ends with something you can use: a skill, a framework, or a new way of seeing the pattern you've been stuck in. Less venting, more learning.

How much does therapy cost?

Individual sessions are $150 and couples sessions are $175. Group and program pricing is shared at your free consultation. Sessions are private pay, and HSA cards are accepted. Insurance is not accepted at this time, which keeps your care flexible, confidential, and free from insurance-driven limits.

Do you offer couples therapy online?

Yes, couples therapy is one of our core services. We meet with partners anywhere in Texas by secure video and focus on breaking old cycles, communicating honestly, and rebuilding trust, with tools you practice together between sessions.

Does EMDR work online?

Yes. Online EMDR is well established and follows the same protocol as in-person EMDR, adapted for video. Kirby Green, LCSW is EMDR-trained and delivers it online across Texas. It's an evidence-based approach for processing painful or traumatic experiences so they lose their grip.

How do the group programs work?

Our psychoeducational groups are small online cohorts focused on intentional behavior change through awareness, accountability, emotional growth, communication, and consistent action. The work is grounded in ACT, CBT, and DBT. Ask about current groups at your consultation.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person?

For most people and most concerns, research consistently shows online therapy works as well as in-person care. It also removes the commute, the waiting room, and the scheduling gymnastics. All you need is a quiet spot and an internet connection.
